Nice.
Haven't seen that first one before. And that last one is fake? Or did they use the ad from that movie for reals?
Now I'm missing my 245t.....

I'd like to point out, in regards to the first one, Toyota still believed in rear wheel drive.

I have no idea if that's real. I should delete that one :3

If I worked at a Volvo dealership I would have these everywhere. They would make awesome posters specifically the 740 Turbo Wagon series.

yup, theses would work fine. I'm sure we have these somewhere since we were the first Volvo dealer and original importer of Texas. Well... all except the RWD one.

That's quite an awesome and rich history behind that dealership. Sounds like a nice place to work.

it's ok :] We also have a Mercedes section. T'was a Volvo master tech here a couple years ago and front end specialist for the 4 brands. I left for a bit but i've been back now for a yearish but in the parts dungeon :]

If you'd like I can work up a post of Mercedes ads later on today.

lol well yeah until you have to work on them (under warrnty) for lets say 6 hours busting ass and only getting 2hrs pay lol
flame trap box on a XC90 TT I-6 under extended warranty. Takes around an hour (for an experienced tech) to do and pays 0.4 hrs. Fun times :( Lotus are the worst offenders followed by Aston's goofy issues and Merc... well Merc is Merc.

gaaaasp its a 164! A local gentleman's swapyard has two of these...along with a working 242GT, 3 vw buses, tons of classic jaguars, a 73 civic, MG's all over the place, the list goes on...the landowner raced a 142 before he crashed it last season.
Watkins Glen living....

You should see about getting pictures of that collection. The world needs more MG porn.

Gotta hate jobs where you aren't getting paid for your time :/ Aston's from everything I've heard are odd cars to work on.

nah. Basic mechanical and all these things dude besides the electrical side. Everything is just bolts, nuts, parts, and fluids. Still, "Handmade in England" is a scary sign to see.

I'm surprised how many ads had other marques' production cars in them, you don't really see that in advertising...

Soon! I never had a camera to do it justice...he had an acceptable MGBGT for restoration there among others.
Other property owners are trying to have it removed it because its smack in the middle of a bunch of shitty, yet picturesque wineries/vinyards along the Seneca wine trail which is the county's bread n butter.
a couple are actually awesome by high standards and there's also a knockout distillery and brewery with an amazing view aand horseradish laden roast beef sammies ...they sell out every day its like 30 seconds down the road from the yard. makes for good days.
....you can see the WGI grand stands atop that hill across the lake.
